STORIES of SLAVERY in NEW JERSEY, with author Rick Geffken
Rick Geffken has his finger on the pulse of Monmouth County History, and the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center welcomes you to join the upcoming book discussion and signing for Rick’s just released book, “Stories of Slavery in New Jersey.” Owning the truth of this country’s history is the only way to move away from the ugliness of its past to envision an all-inclusive American society. An important FACEBOOK LIVE event. Also, to premiere will be the film trailer, “For Survival: The Entwined Native American and the Enslaved populations of Monmouth County.” This is the second film in the Monmouth County Freedom Story Series, sponsored in part by the Monmouth County Historical Commission and the T. Thomas Fortune House.
When you make your $50 donation to benefit TTF – includes the film trailer premiere, and signed copies of Ricks books – you will receive your exclusive ZOOM invitation. Signed copies of Rick Geffken's books can be picked up at the Cultural Center on January 31, 2021.
